Winery Host

Under general supervision, the Host is responsible for initial guest and member interaction upon arriving to the winery. The Host sets the tone by ensuring guests and members are greeted with a warm welcome.  The Host is responsible for supporting the hospitality team with seating guests, setting tables, and guest service.


  • Greets all guests and members upon arrival and courteously checks them in
  • Effectively coordinates seating arrangement with both the guest and wine educator
  • Is knowledgeable of the menu and specials
  • Ensures tables and chairs are arranged properly. 
  • Maintains the host stand in good presentational order
  • Provides exceptional service to guests and assists Tasting Room sales staff.
  • May assist at special events.





  • Ensure that the Gloria Ferrer Culture is consistently supported in all business and employee interactions.   Including, ethical and legal aspects, compliant with state and federal law and GF policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Competency with computers and iPad.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear, respectful and direct communication skills
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills.
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
  • Must be 21 or older.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear.  The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. 


  • Must be able to work outdoors in extremes of heat/humidity/cold and other inclement weather conditions
  • Must be able to walk on uneven ground for at least 8 hours per day
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally.
  • Must be able to see clearly enough to a) drive safely b) recognize employees c) work on computers for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work long hours when required.
  • Must be able to sustain the repeated use of hands as well as long periods of standing, sitting, walking and bending
