The Gloria Ferrer Finance Manager is responsible for accurate and timely financial planning, analysis & support, as well as, budget development, metrics, KPI’s, and system maintenance.  This role reports to the GM with support of the FXM Controller. The Senior Finance Manager will produce reports regularly using financial data & systems, and working collaboratively across the management team to analyze business performance and strategy. Responsible for understanding inventories, depletions and compliance for the long-term sustainability of Gloria Ferrer. This role will also act as the key liaison between the Winery and the Accounting team headquartered in NY.


  • Ensure Gloria Ferrer financial policies, budgets and forecasts are consistent with company objectives. Recommends policies relating to accounting and/or modifying or eliminating outdated policies.
  • Monthly and Weekly Analytics development and review by department
  • Assist with year-end and monthly closing to ensure accurate and on-time financial reporting
  • Support all departments in monthly review of expenditures, OPEX and CAPEX.
  • Leads budget and forecast development and presents annual budget to the GM for approval.
  • Ensures Gloria Ferrer financial policies, budgets and forecasts are consistent with FXM policies.
  • Assists with reconciling general ledger accounts. Prepares and posts adjusting journal entries. Confirms financial statements and trial balance.
  • Serves as Gloria Ferrer representative for inquiries from outside of the company.
  • Supports on all audits, maintains regular contact with appropriate auditors.
  • Ensures all financial transactions comply with the current state, federal and any foreign agency statues.
  • Responsible for protecting, recording and reconciling the assets of the company. Reviews new company contracts, leases and legal documentation for financial liabilities.
  • Supports CAPEX process by conducting return on investment calculations, an annual asset audit and determining appropriate depreciation of capital assets.
  • Reviews intercompany account reconciliation’s, including inventory and costing.
  • Continuous review of financial policies and internal controls to recommend modifying or eliminating outdated policies and procedures, and keeping up to date SOP’s
  • Focus on Sparkling and still wine costing, and inventory management
  • Reviews & monitors accounts payable system
  • JEDOX cross trained and support



  • Provides financial input to overall management strategies.
  • Proactive communication with FxM team.
  • Ensures Gloria Ferrer culture is consistently supported in all business and employee interactions, including legal and ethical aspects
  • Other duties and projects as required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree, in Finance or Accounting or relevant field is preferred; and seven to ten years related experience and/or training which includes successfully managing an accounting function that had responsibility for General Ledger; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • MBA/CPA is a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling
  • Attention to accuracy and detail required
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and implementing policies.
  • Demonstrated success in effectively dealing with staff, customers and agencies.
  • Understanding of data analysis, forecasting and standard cost accounting
  • Computer proficiency (PC) to include Internet & E-mail (use of attachments), Microsoft Office Suite. Wine industry associated software, AMS, SAP and ADP experience helpful
  • Preferable wine industry or beverage alcohol accounting and finance experience
  • Must have a valid driver’s license or be able to travel in a timely manner.
